For several years, I have been a big fan of author and visionary Gregg Braden. As an experienced geologist and long-term researcher on human consciousness, he has a remarkable ability to bridge science and spirituality – topics that, until recently, have been considered diametrically opposed to one another.

connected to all-that-is
I am very glad I happened upon the interview he did in 2013 for the Hay House World Summit. His refreshing insights about science supporting spiritual practices stuck with me. I simply had to order some audiobooks. The tone, cadence and sincerity in his voice bring a special energy to his work. You feel as though a kind and wise neighbor is chatting with you about leading-edge science in a way that is easy to digest. There are unexpected laughs and inspiring anecdotes. Most importantly, there are solid practices that, once applied, can make a positive impact on your life and community.
Gregg Braden’s Books Address Both Scientists and Spiritual Seekers
Speaking the Lost Language of God: Awakening the Forgotten Wisdom of Prayer, Prophecy, and the Dead Sea Scrolls is my personal favorite work of Gregg’s. I must have listened to it 12 times the first year I had it. As someone who had become beleaguered by ecclesiastical doctrines and musty verses, I was very attracted to authentic spiritual practices that were becoming more widespread in the West. Concerned about trading one naïve mindset for another, I was invested in learning about scientific studies about spiritual practices that, while ancient, were novel for me.
Gregg delivered.
Every time I revisit Speaking the Lost Language of God, I feel strongly that I have to recommend it to everyone I know. It has aged well. It remains relevant. The melodies at the interludes bring me so much joy. This sweet work will always be like a familiar neighbor who makes me smile no matter what is going on in the world.
I also deeply appreciated Unleashing the Power of the God Code: The Mystery and Meaning of the Message in Our Cells. This audiobook contains an enthralling exploration of the divine signature in our DNA. It gives you a new appreciation for being human, and it inspires a renewed commitment to living up to your potential. It is very hard to walk away from this work the same jaded person you might have been before. I felt a new pizazz in my cells when I reflected on it day and night, at my desk and on my walks.
Perhaps Gregg’s most beloved and well-known work is The Divine Matrix: Bridging Time, Space, Miracles, and Belief. He does a phenomenal job of laying to rest and lingering doubts that there is a Source of All Things that permeates and connects All Things. I have listened to the audiobook many times. I have recommended it to anyone who seemed mildly receptive to amazing scientific discoveries about the nature of human consciousness. Bottom line: You can’t miss this one. Read it or listen to it to strengthen your understanding that you are not a separate and helpless carbon creature in a cold and impersonal universe.
I attended a magnificent talk by Gregg Braden at the New Living Expo. My ‘soul mom’ was equally jazzed about seeing this lovely man who clearly operates from his heart center. He was discussing his latest work which would turn out to be revised and updated Resilience from the Heart: The Power to Thrive in Life’s Extremes. I felt great satisfaction from learning about a detailed technique that he had touched on in previous works. At any time, you have the wherewithal to take a deep breath, focus on your heart and who you love, and create a loving space which allows you to thrive. He outlines and describes the steps in a way that only he can: beautifully and succinctly. Having worked with the HeartMath Institute for two decades and counting, he is the right person to help you grasp this technique. This book does not sugarcoat the unprecedented challenges that humanity faces in years to come. You are reminded or made aware of some sobering facts about this globalized economy and ecology. Knowing that we must adapt in our individual lives and our communities, wouldn’t it be nice to be equipped with a science-backed technique for maintaining composure in the face of dramatic change?

loving awareness cannot be separate from anything in the universe
Finally, I want to highlight Gregg Braden’s latest work, which is a real treasure. I may actually have to declare this work my favorite one. It is called Wisdom Codes: Ancient Words to Rewire Our Brains and Heal Our Hearts. Continuing his decades-long exploration of the remarkable power of our hearts, he encourages us to apply what the ancients intuitively knew. All of the major religious and spiritual traditions dating back thousands of years contain scriptures and prayers that are considered high-vibration or high-consciousness. When we are centered in our hearts and maximizing our potential to manifest the feelings that we desire (relief, strength), we can literally re-wire our brains and live more fulfilling lives. We really can heal old hurts and replace harmful thought patterns with beneficial ones.
This book takes a little bit of faith to get through. I will admit that the skeptic in me put the book down for a few months. That’s quite a move for someone who reveres this author. Somehow, I just wasn’t ready for his latest message. I mean, could I really believe that a verse from the Vedas (or anything else) would actually inspire new and enduring neural pathways that change my life? I have some years behind me, and my prefrontal cortex probably isn’t going to budge.
Thankfully, I revisited the book when the stars were aligned, and I benefitted greatly from it. As I neared the end, I didn’t want it to end. I felt a new appreciation for the scriptures of my childhood, and I was enamored with the verses from traditions that had been alien to me. In as little as 3 minutes, I can experience visceral peace from bringing any of these verses into my awakened heart. It is a beautiful practice that must be shared far and wide.
I strongly recommend giving Wisdom Codes a shot. You may initially feel triggered by either the scriptures from your childhood, or the foreign scriptures, or even both. I understand what it’s like to be “allergic” to religion. But if you will just push through your doubts and triggers, you may find that the purity of these verses stands the test of time, regardless of how many people have tried to use the verses for selfish purposes. These words can be placed in the context of healing oneself and healing the world.
Gregg Braden Leads Spiritual Trips and Gatherings in the Holiest Places
I would be remiss to not point out that Gregg Braden regularly arranges to meet with fellow seekers and visionaries at some of the world’s most sacred sites. Whenever I get email notifications about these events, I am always very interested in the main topic to be covered. He sometimes teams up with other prominent authors like Dr. Bruce Lipton and Dr. Joe Dispenza. Although I have never gone to one of these multiple-day events, I can confidently say that you would not regret signing up for one.
He would never mention it, but Gregg is a highly conscious man who raises the consciousness level of others in his vicinity. He is definitely at least in the realm of Unconditional Love on the Hawkins Scale. I hold him in high regard, and I sincerely believe that he will be spoken of long after all of us are gone. His works have the potential to help this planet reach a critical mass for a major shift in consciousness.
I do not say that about any old author.
Gregg Braden is the real MVP
So, whether you are left-brained or right-brained, a scientist or an artist, a confused bundle of cells or an awakened starseed, I highly recommend checking out any of Gregg Braden’s works or gatherings. You will be touched by his wisdom and candor. You will be exposed to scientific findings that somehow fall through the cracks in the mainstream media. Most importantly, you may feel a heightened love of life that you never imagined.
